A teacher at a P.G. elementary school extinguished a lithium-ion battery fire in a portable speaker.

An agricultural robotics center will be developed on Highway 68 near Salinas. A River School 5th grader made a great showing at the national Science Bee. The Carmel Woman’s Club is awarding scholarships to top local students.
